Maternity Cloths: Other than a few items, I am mostly wearing maternity cloths.  They are just easier.

Gender: It's a BOY!!!!

What I miss: Sleep

Cravings: Nothing new here either

Symptoms: Rough week in the sleep department. Kevin has thrown out a few suggestions and they have worked the last few days.  Looks like "Father knows best" is starting early in this house! haha

Week 29

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: I am IN my 29th week

Size of baby:Cabbage (17  inches 2.9lbs)

Maternity Cloths: Other than a few items, I am mostly wearing maternity cloths.  They are just easier.

Gender: It's a BOY!!!!

Movement: Same movement I've been having.  He really isn't a strong puncher or kicker, I get a few here and there.   He also likes to hang out low so I haven't had any rib jabs yet, but I am sure they are coming as he runs out of room.

What I miss: Nothing this week.
Cravings: Nothing new here either
Symptoms: Overall this has been a nice and easy week.

We had a doctors appointment this morning.  This was our last monthly visit, moving to every two weeks now.  She said all looked good and was on track, even my weight gain.  I really wish I could embrace this accept of pregnancy more but I just hate seeing that scale go up and up and up.   I know it's for a good cause so I am learning to go with it.  Still under the 20lb gained mark....for now! hahah

Here are a few pic for this week.  I took little man on his first boating trip with Aunt Jody and Uncle Jason.  It was a nice relaxing time on the lake with some of my favorite people.

This next pic is actually from last weekend. Kevin and I went to the food truck fest aka heaven to a pregnant lady.   Hmmm I wonder why the scale is going up?! haha we had a so much fun sampling the different food.  We are going to make this boy a foodie for sure!

And here are the 29 week bump pics.  Love the early morning "glow" aka puffiness haha.

Baby moon!

Kevin and I spent an wonderful week in Gulf shores Alabama for our baby moon.  It was our first time going to this location and I can say it will not be our last.

 View from our front door.
View from our balcony.

One of my favorite parts of our stay was watching the dolphins while having our breakfast on the balcony.

We rented a condo right on the beach called the Seacrest.  It had everything we could need.  The beach was gorgeous and the water was so clear.  Kevin & both agreed we had never seen so many fish that close to the shore.  We were blessed with great weather, it only rained twice while we were there.  Both times were either while we got ready for dinner or while we were at dinner so it didn't effect our day at all.  The only thing it did do was bring up some seaweed so the water although clear was not as "clean" after that.

Kevin got to golf twice while we were there.  I went out with him the second time.  Although it was H.O.T.  the course was beautiful and it was nice to spend time with my hubby out there.

We ate at some fantastic restaurants.  Our favorite find was this BBQ place called Moes.  It was a random stop into a whole in the wall but it was SO good!  We actually ate there twice.   Of course there was also lots of great fresh seafood as well.

For memory purposes the restaurants we ate at were.  Moes, Jakes, Sea N Suds, De Soto's and there was a Mexican restaurant that I can not remember.  We also had what I am claiming is the best ice cream ever at Scoops and some yummy beignets.**Edit** We also ate at the Oyster House, it was featured on Man vs Food.

As fun as all the above mentioned things were.  I have to say just getting away and spending time together before little man joins us was the best part.   We celebrated 14 years of being together while we were down there and I can honestly say each year it does get better and better.  I am so lucky to be with my best friend.

I think my advise to any soon to be parents will be to get away. Even if it's just for a few night you need that time to reconnect and focus on just the two of you.  I honestly believe you have to keep your marriage as your top priority or everything will fall apart.

Kevin is my rock!  He has been an amazing friend, boyfriend and husband.  I can't wait to see him be a daddy and know he will be just as amazing in his new role.

I think he said it best when we  were having an email conversation about being back in the real world. "After spending 192 straight hours with you and not wanting to kill each other I really think we were made for each other."

Here's to us babe and our new fun adventure into parenthood!  I can't wait to bring Harrison with us next year.  I love you more than you will ever know and I am SO proud to be your wife and grateful to be having your son!  Love you!

Week 28. The third trimester!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: I am IN my 28th week

Size of baby:Head of cauliflower (16in, 2.5lbs)
Maternity Cloths: Other than a few items, I am mostly wearing maternity cloths.  They are just easier.

Gender: It's a BOY!!!!

Movement: Our little boy appears to be becoming a bit more rough and tumble!  Those kicks and punches are getting stronger!

What I miss: Over easy eggs.  Been craving them for breakfast.

Cravings: See above.  Still craving snow cones.  But with it finally being festival season I think they should be easier to come by.

Symptoms: Acid reflux and back pain.

Week 26 & 27

This post is late because Kevin and I went on our Baby Moon last week.  We had an amazing time and I will post about that all on its own.  I wanted to get week 26 and 27 updated now before I was even further behind.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: I am IN my 26th week

Size of baby:Lettuce (13.6-14.8 inches 1.5-2.2lb)

Maternity Cloths: Other than a few items, I am mostly wearing maternity cloths.  They are just easier.

Gender: It's a BOY!!!!

Movement: He is getting stronger and stronger.  I still feel him mostly down low but those jab higher up are becoming more prominent.

What I miss: While on vacation I missed my Pina Colada and being able to eat the raw oysters.
Cravings: Good to go finally got my snow cone on the way down to the beach!
Symptoms: Had a few nights of bad acid reflux.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: I am IN my 27th week

Size of baby:Cucumber (15in, 2.2 lbs)

Maternity Cloths: Although I was worried I totally rocked the tankini on vacation.  One top was maternity and the other was not.  The maternity was longer and no belly showed.  The non let just a few inches of bare belly show.  I wasn't sure at first but Kevin said it was "cute".

Gender: It's a BOY!!!!

Movement: He has managed to kick the remote off my belly and I see  him moving more.  Very fun!

What I miss:  Same as last week.  While on vacation I missed my Pina Colada and being able to eat the raw oysters.
Cravings:  We found THE most amazing ice cream cone ever at a place called Scoops, while on vacation.   Peanut butter ice cream that they dipped in this amazing chocolate coating.  Blew DQ's coating out of the water.  Had it twice while on vacation.....and I now want it every day.
Symptoms: I just feel like a beached whale by the end of the night.  During the day I am good to go!

I can not believe how quickly this is going now.  Next up 3rd trimester!!!
